Meadowlarks
Organized in 1998 by Brother Bob Hendrick and his wife, Judy (both
exceptional musicians), began with approximately 25 members. Members
played the Mandolin, Banjo, Guitar, Violin, Omni-chord, Ukulele and the
remainder sang.
Travis Grindle assumed coordinator when Brother Bob was called to the
Mission Field and remained until his death. Each session was followed by a
fellowship meal.
The members of this Ministry always receive more blessings from the
Nursing Home residents than they give.
The Meadowlarks have presented musical programs of gospel music in
churches, at Highland Lakes Baptist Encampment and sang at funerals in
Rockdale and Granger Catholic Church. Also the MARC Center, Civic Club
fund raisers the National Music Guild and the C of C.
